The first Introduction to Adventure Racing clinic held at Smitt's Cyclery was a success! We had 10 people show up who were very interested in adventure racing (not counting the pre-teen young lady who looked like she was dragged there by her dad). There were gear displays for trekking, navigation, paddling, biking and ropes along with displays of maps, race photos, race shirts/medals and AR specific videos. The discussion lasted for a solid hour an a half with alot of questions coming from all participants. I think I could have talked and answered questions for much longer and everyone would have been OK with it! All people attending the clinic received a coupon for a discount on the October TOADS races and it appears everyone there was expecting to do one of the races!
