Axis Gear Atak Pants

FYI for anyone looking to pick up a new pair of tights/orienteering pants to protect your legs...

I was planning to purchase a pair of the current Atak II pants from Axis gear, but found the sizing chart didn't really match my leg and waist size. I'd either have a comfortable fit with my waist and some sweet high-waters, or a comfortable length and baggy waist.

I called Axis Gear to speak about the sizing and found out they're pushing pretty hard to release a newer version of the Atak Pant somewhere around Jan/Feb 2010. Updates will include a better belt/waist system to accomodate a larger range of sizes and better/more durable pant material. (I also asked for them to include another pocket! )

So, if you're in the market for a pair of pants/tights like these and can be patient, it may be worth the wait...

Aaron, do you know if the new version is out yet? I have the same problem with my Atak II's! The legs fit great, but the waitst is so big! Hoping the new version comes out soon, or is out already and I just missed it?

Sorry for the delay in emails, but unfortunately the 2010 version is not yet in production and we not sure when. Possible in the fall of 2010. If there is any upcoming news I will let you know. Thank you.
