The Warrior Dash (http://www.warriordash.com/) series of runs looks like they could be quite interesting. It reminds me of the Tough Guy run (http://www.toughguy.co.uk/) in England, but maybe not quite as "tough".
Looks like the closest Warrior Run is in the Chicago area on June 19th/20th. Might be worth a trip (if you're not already doing the Planet Adventure Race that weekend)!
