6 Hour Communication

Greetings 6 hour racers and volunteers!!

Thank you for registering for The East Fork Challenge, we are excited to get you out at East Fork State Park for 6 hours of racing!  We have a good course out there for you!  Please make sure that all teammates receive this email, we are missing a few emails.

Schedule of Events:

Race check in/gear staging:        11:00 am to 12:30 pm

Pre-race meeting:                        12:30 pm

Race Start:                                   1:00 pm

Race Finish:                                  7:00 pm

The race will start and finish at the shelter above the swimming beach area.  There is plenty of parking at the shelter lot, please do not park on the grass.  You will stage your boats at the West end of the beach area and your bikes at the shelter.  You may use your car as a transition area; you will be back to this spot at least once during the race. Do not forget the visible orange, it is hunting season at the park during the race!  If you rented a boat for the race, it will already be down at the beach.  If you want to use your own pfd and/or paddles instead of the rentals you are welcome to do so.

Maps will be handed out as teams check in for the race, starting at 11:00am.  Maps will have the checkpoints already plotted on them and will be printed on waterproof paper, but we suggest you use a waterproof mapcase as well.

The race will end at 7:00pm and we will have a post race meal and awards ceremony after the race.
