The third trail run in the series is Saturday February 11th at Caesar Creek State Park - registration opens at 8:30am and the run starts at 10:00am. Register online or the day of the event - please note that day of registration will close at 9:45am. There will be a 6 mile (out and back) or 12 mile (out and back) trail run on the hiking trails. The trail run series is a no frills event with a low cost of $15. Come out and join for some frozen fun!!

Topo Trail Running Series - The Topo Trail Run Series is back for 2012. This no frills race series will be held in January (5 and 10 mile races at East Fork and England Idlewild) and February (6 and 12 mile races at Caesar Creek and Harbin Park). Cost will be $15 per race, and the race series winners will recieve prize money. - Click here for more information.

Buck Creek Adventure Race - Buck Creek State Park. June 2nd, 2012. 18 Hour Adventure Race - USARA Nationals Regional Qualifier. Top 4 co-ed (3 person or 4 person) and Top 4 single gender (3 person or 4 person) teams will qualify for the 2012 USARA National Championships. Click here for more information
XTERRA East Fork- East Fork State Park - East Fork State Park will host the XTERRA East Fork Off road triathlon on June 10th, 2012. A swim (1,000m swim, 10 mile bike, 5 mile run) and kayak (4 mile kayak, 10 mile bike, 5 mile run) division will be available. - Click here for more information

ADVENTURE RACING
Adventure racing (AR) is a sport in which teams must navigate a course of checkpoints using various non-motorized means. Races are usually held in wilderness settings and the traditional events include mountain biking, canoeing, and trekking. Navigation is accomplished through the use of a compass and topographic maps and the route choice between checkpoints is usually not specified, meaning that teams are generally free to choose their path from one checkpoint to another. Because of this navigational aspect, successful adventure racers aren't always the fastest and fittest teams, but the teams that minimize mistakes, navigate efficiently, and make good decisions out on the course.
